This 3.1ch Dolby Atmos®/DTS:X® soundbar features powerful, cinematic surround sound. Thanks to a newly developed upmixer, this soundbar delivers a three-dimensional surround experience even when you’re playing stereo content, like TV dramas, streamed music, and more. The center speaker ensures clear dialog, while the built-in dual subwoofer delivers you deep bass.

With Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround, the HT-S2000 creates cinematic surround sound that lets you enjoy the thrill of Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X®. A newly developed upmixer also delivers three-dimensional surround sound for everything you listen to, wrapping you in sound from a single discreet soundbar.

A combination of our latest acoustic and signal processing technologies is the foundation for recreating a vast sound stage. The center speaker ensures clear dialog, while the built-in dual subwoofer delivers you deep bass.
Easy setup and Operation
Simply connect the HT-S2000 with your TV with an HDMI cable, plug in, and setup is completed. Our new smartphone app, Sony | Home Entertainment Connect, offers you easy setup and intuitive operation. You can also easily operate the soundbar with the supplied simple remote.
Syncs perfectly with other Sony products
The optional wireless subwoofer will add punchy bass sound. For even more cinematic thrills, including sound directly behind you, add our optional wireless rear speakers. Paired with a compatible BRAVIA™ TV, soundbar sound settings automatically appear on the BRAVIA Quick Settings menu for easy control of features such as sound field and volume.

Thanks to Sony’s virtual surround technology, the soundbar can position sound in vertical space—so you can experience three-dimensional audio without the need for in-ceiling or up-firing speakers. As well as Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X®, Vertical Surround Engine lends a more realistic, multi-dimensional sound to other formats too.
Surround made simple
Using front speakers only, Sony’s unique digital sound field processing technology virtually reproduces the surround sound field, with audio coming at you from both sides. You can enjoy rich, cinematic surround sound without cluttering your living space.
New upmixer brings surround to stereo content
With Sony’s newly developed upmixer, you can experience three-dimensional surround sound not only with surround sound format content, but also with stereo content, like streaming video or music services. Analyzing the track in real time, our new algorithm extracts individual sound objects depending on their localization and reallocates them, giving you three-dimensional surround sound.

The powerful speakers include a dedicated center speaker for clear dialog and built-in dual subwoofer for punchy bass. They work together to deliver clear and wide-ranging sound throughout your room.
X-Balanced Speaker Unit
The built-in dual subwoofer and front speakers feature an X-Balanced Speaker Unit. The unique rectangular shape of these speakers maximizes the diaphragm area for more punchy bass. It also reduces driver excursion while maintaining sound pressure, resulting in less distortion and greater vocal clarity.
Built-in subwoofer and duct for deep bass
The built-in subwoofers use an X-Balanced Speaker design to maximize the diaphragm size for the limited space, delivering powerful bass from a compact soundbar. The unique duct shape is the secret to delivering the deep bass normally associated with larger speakers—especially when listening at low volume.
Clear voice and precise sound image
Using a single speaker unit to reproduce a wide frequency range from bass to treble simultaneously can cause distortion and result in a muffled and unclear sound image. Our unique signal-processing technology suppresses this distortion for clear dialog and precise imaging.
Deeper bass sound at any volume level
When compact speakers reproduce low bass frequencies there’s often a risk of distortion. To combat this, the HT-S2000 soundbar uses Sony’s unique signal-processing technology to deliver dynamic extended bass no matter how loud you listen.
Give your favorite music a boost
When an original music source is compressed, it loses the high-frequency elements that give detail and richness to a track. Our Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) faithfully restores these to produce high-quality sound that’s closer to the original recording.

The HT-S2000 uses specially developed recycled plastic in several parts of the product, to enable superb acoustic performance even as we reduce our ecological impact. Approximately 95% of the packaging is made from recycled paper and paper-based materials to minimize the use of virgin plastic.
